Instead of a generic questionnaire, the LifeScribed Interview can use things you have actually contributed during the year.
The Founding Pilot includes one guided annual digital interview. It may combine human-supervised and AI-assisted processes while the interview system is being developed. There is not yet a fully autonomous voice interviewer.
AI is the archivist, never the author.
It may help organise, transcribe, retrieve and suggest questions. It must never fabricate memories or put words in your mouth.

LifeScribed is exploring an opt-in Social History Archive. People could choose to donate selected memories to future generations and researchers—small, human accounts of ordinary work, growing up in a particular town, social attitudes, technology changing daily life, and more.
Nothing would ever enter a social-history collection merely because an account became inactive. Any future contribution would require explicit consent and appropriate privacy and de-identification safeguards.

What is LifeScribed?
LifeScribed is a personal memory-preservation service that helps you record your life story gradually in your own words. Its £29 Founding Pilot includes 12 months of email Memory Sparks, a private member portal, one guided annual digital interview and a practical export.
How often will I receive Memory Sparks?
You can choose weekly, fortnightly or monthly email prompts. There are no daily streaks or requirements to answer every question.
How do I sign in after joining?
Create a private LifeScribed sign-in at app.lifescribed.org using your purchase email. Your LifeScribed account is separate from other products, and the sign-in page includes password recovery.
Is LifeScribed already a finished product?
The private pilot member portal is available, but the larger long-term platform is still in development. LifeScribed currently offers a paid 12-month Founding Pilot with specific deliverables, not guaranteed lifetime hosting.
What happens if LifeScribed doesn’t launch?
You still receive every pilot deliverable, including your annual interview and an export of the material collected for you.
Why charge for a pilot?
The pilot tests whether people genuinely value this way of preserving memories enough to sustain it, not simply whether the idea attracts interest.
Can I cancel?
Yes. You may cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. After that, contact LifeScribed if there is a problem; your statutory rights are unaffected. See the Founding Pilot Terms.
Do I need an app or have to answer every Memory Spark?
No. Memory Sparks arrive by email, and you can answer as many or as few as you like.
Can I export my memories?
Yes. Paid members can download their saved stories from the private portal. You also receive a practical end-of-pilot export and can request a copy of your data during the pilot.
Will AI pretend to be me after I die?
No. LifeScribed does not offer voice cloning, a chatbot version of you, or AI-generated memories. AI may only assist with organising, transcribing, retrieving and suggesting questions.
Is my archive automatically made public?
No. Your pilot archive is not public. A possible future Social History Archive is not part of this pilot and would require separate, explicit opt-in consent.
